Terms & Conditions

  1. Suppliers shall be NADCAP, ISO/AS9100 certified or have a Quality Management System compliant to ISO/ AS9100 or as stated in the PO. Suppliers with a long history of working with Crown who do not hold AS9100 certification and have a good Quality and On-Time Delivery history may be “grandfathered” and approved by Crown. New suppliers must meet the certification requirements stated above. All grandfathered Suppliers are strongly encouraged to get certified to AS9100. Calibration Suppliers shall be certified to ISO 17025, or utilize standards traceable to NIST, and have a good history with Crown. The Supplier’s Quality System certification/registration must be retained and renewed by the Supplier, to maintain a continuous and current certification/registration while doing business with Crown. The current certificate shall always be on file with Crown.
  2. Supplier must notify Crown Precision of changes in product and/or processes, changes of suppliers, changes of manufacturing facility location, changes to quality certification status or scope, and where required, obtain Crown’s approval.
  3. Suppliers must obtain Crown Precision’s approval for disposition of non-conforming product.
  4. Approval must also be obtained before shipping of non-conforming material.
  5. Supplier shall provide right of access to Crown Precision, its customer, and regulatory authorities to all facilities, at any level of the supply chain, involved in the order and to all applicable records.
  6. Suppliers are required to flow down to sub-tier suppliers all applicable requirements in the purchasing documents, including key characteristics where required.
  7. Materials/products that are subject to degradation with age shall be marked in a manner to indicate the date of manufacture and expiration date in addition to standard identification requirements.
  8. All items must be adequately packed/packaged to prevent damage, contamination, and/or deterioration.
  9. Suppliers are required to retain quality records for a period of fifteen years unless otherwise contractually required, or as specified in other applicable regulations.
  10. Certificate of Conformance shall be provided unless otherwise specified. Process certification from supplier sub tier processing must be provided. Certification provided must have the specified drawing specification called out in addition to any superseding specification.
  11. Material received by Crown Precision must be free of “Conflict Minerals” as defined by the SEC Rule.
  12. Unless otherwise agreed to by Crown Precision, all raw material supplied must be of domestic origin with a statement on the applicable material certification stating MELTED IN THE USA.
  13. Suppliers who supply any article or substance that becomes part of Crown’s finished product must be prepared to provide “REACH” information to Crown Precision within 30 days of request.
  14. Where applicable, suppliers must be registered with DDTC and be compliant to 22 CFR 120-130 ITAR regulations when receiving, processing, or handling controlled defense articles.
  15. Suppliers shall ensure that persons are aware of their contribution to product or service conformity, their contribution to product safety and the importance of ethical behavior. Suppliers shall ensure that employees are competent relative to the work to be performed according to this purchase order and qualified as applicable.
  16. Suppliers shall have a counterfeit material prevention program in place.
  17. Crown Precision has established controls for all designated critical suppliers who provide products or services which may affect our customers products. Critical suppliers are approved for use against the requirements stated above and must maintain an acceptable on-time delivery and product quality rating to remain approved. Suppliers whose performance shows a negative trend may be asked to formally respond with corrective actions to address the performance discrepancies and maintain approval status.
